Dr Olusola T. Ephraim-Oluwanuga

Dr Olusola T. Ephraim-Oluwanuga is a Psychiatrist and Certified Addiction Professional. She is a Senior Lecturer/Ag. Head of Department of Psychiatry at the College of Health Sciences, University of Abuja and Head of Department/Honorary Chief Consultant Psychiatrist at the National Hospital Abuja, where she has worked since 2005. Prior to this, she was lecturer in Psychiatry and Physiology at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan and Consultant Psychiatrist at the same University College Hospital, Ibadan.

 A Life Fellow, West African College of Physicians in the faculty of Psychiatry, she obtained Bachelor of Science (Honours) Physiology (Lagos ) 1984, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery ( Ibadan ) 1991 and Master of Science Physiology ( Ibadan ) 1997 Master of Mental Health Policy and Services (Nova University, Lisbon) 2016.

She has served as United Nations Nigeria National Stress Counsellor and has been a United Nations Secretariat Affiliated Counsellor.  She is currently involved in the National effort for rehabilitation of victims of insurgency. She has been involved in providing training in Addiction Counselling and services under the auspices of the United Nations Office on Drug and Crime (UNODC) Response to Drugs and Related Organized Crime in Nigeria Project, funded by The European Union.  She is a Trainer for The Universal Treatment Curriculum for Substance Use Disorder under The Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Program in Nigeria, funded by the United States Government and the USAID. Olusola has published papers and book chapters in her research areas of Stigma, Old Age Psychiatry, Substance abuse and Pain and Self-management.
